meet CAT

I am a heart-centered Wellness Practitioner who offers both Eastern and Western therapeutic healing modalities.

I am a licensed psychotherapist, psychedelic medicine integration specialist, coach, group facilitator, teacher, presence maker, sound healer, reiki master teacher, energy worker, intuitive channeler, community builder, creative, poet, truth teller, plant mama, literal tree hugger, athlete, dancer, and ever-evolving dynamic human.

I believe my strength resides in allowing and tuning into the depth and fullness of my sensitivities.

I support people in moving beyond trying to figure themselves out, and into feeling, sensing, and working with what’s actually happening—so change isn’t forced, it is revealed.

My Journey

I believe we are here to honor the desires of our heart, to grow deeply with ourselves and others, and to exist in a community held in joy and unconditional love — the kind that inspires and alchemizes us into our most expansive, radiant selves.

Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, I was taught to hide the parts of myself that didn’t quite “fit” in order to be accepted, and later as I entered the professional world, to be seen as legitimate. As I stepped into adulthood, my body began to speak to me about this behavior in ways I couldn’t ignore. I experienced a series of serious, mysterious medical issues that lasted for many years. I’ve come to understand that when my voice and self expression wasn’t allowed, my body spoke for me. And, wow, was she angry. If we don’t listen to the whispers of our body, it will eventually start to scream. When I stopped making my body a problem and started listening, everything began to change.

About a decade ago, after a loss that broke me wide open, I began to live more honestly and share more of who I am. I lost people. I learned hard lessons about conditional love—and, slowly, how to turn that love inward.

I went down every existential rabbit hole, luxuriating in the exploration and deepening my spiritual practice. To me, spirituality is about going inward and contemplating life’s Big Questions beyond what we can neatly explain. All I know for sure is that much is mystery. During this time, I entered public psychedelic work, joined a medicine group with other therapists, received formal Shamanic and Energy Work training, and realized I had been doing it intuitively all along.

I love all the parts of me — especially the parts others may hate. I don’t hide. I am an integrated presence in all the spaces I exist in and I get my needs met more than ever. If I am embraced, it is because I am celebrated, not because I made myself smaller to fit in. Acceptance is not the same as belonging, and we all crave unconditional love.

I have let the brightness of who I am be seen. It has been worth the grief and loss, because on the other side I found a reclamation of who I was underneath it all. From community mental health and work in jails and prisons to the work I do now, every part of my path has shaped how I hold people—inviting them beyond the box into a different kind of freedom.

I am grateful for the hardships that have deepened my understanding of the human experience so I can truly support my clients. I consider it sacred to be invited to witness other’s vulnerable moments and honor them so they can learn how to take up more space, have deeper connections, find harmony with the environment, be at ease in their body, and overall — to find a life that they truly love.

For Practitioners
Therapy for therapists, coaches & practitioners

I began in the mental health field in 2004 and in practicing psychotherapy in 2009. I’ve been in private practice since 2016.

I work with individual adults, couples, dyads & small groups.

See “What does is look like to work with you as a therapist?” at the bottom of this page or my counseling page for more detailed information.

Coaching

I also work with therapists, coaches, and practitioners who feel the limits of staying in their heads and sense there is more available than what they were taught.

Together, we shift into presence — so you can trust what you feel and work with what’s actually happening in the energetics of the room, allowing the work to become less effortful and more alive.
